Has Spring sprung?

Quincy and I went for our first Rail Trail walk of the year. I was afraid there would be mud. There wasn't- because it was still under like 6 inches of snow! And tomorrow it's going to feel like the single digits with the wind chill. Bleak!
But, I do see signs that this long winter may be winding down. The days are getting longer. And we change the clocks in 10 days. And look what we saw in the woods today!! Rosebuds!!!

Er, um, at least they WILL be rosebuds. Come on- I need Spring to come. Let's call them rosebuds.

Family Reunion

We had a family reunion this past weekend. There were a lot of people and there was a lot of fun to be had. One of the many cherished moments was the surprise barber shop quartet for my grandfather's 91st birthday.

Oh, and it was also silly when Bre put on some beer goggles. :-)

Andrew and I had a wonderful time!

Twin Egg

While cooking breakfast this morning (bacon and cheese omelets with home fries), I found a surprise. After cracking open an egg, I found 2 yolks inside! Twin Egg!!

I think that Twin Egg is a sign of good luck!

Keeping Warm...

Since it's been so chilly outside, we've been trying to keep ourselves entertained indoors.
She-Ra has taken to curling up with a good book or two.

The rest of us have taken up birdwatching. And I have some fat, happy birds.

Is it spring yet?

Staying Balanced

School started up again last week. Last semester got to be a bit overwhelming. The stress not only affected my mental well-being, but it also affected my physical help. I'm trying to be mindful of my time. And most importantly, making time for me to relax.
For example, before I go into work this afternoon, I'm taking my morning to hang out in pjs, drink coffee and watch reruns of '90's sitcoms. And I'm thinking grilled cheese with bacon for lunch. Great morning!
