2012 has had a lot of love in the air. We were able to celebrate 2 weddings with live long friends.
Wishing everyone years of happiness. We enjoyed several weekends away. We had a fun trip to Cleveland and Wooster in Ohio for a wedding, and a fun filled night in Erie, PA on the way home for my birthday. We also had a trip to Philadelphia, Washington DC and Cape May, NJ (a week before Sandy hit) and made some great memories. And we're ending the year with days jam packed with friends and family- the glue that keeps me together. 2013- it's going to be hard for you to top 2012, but I have faith in you- you're going to be great!!Friday, December 28, 2012
2012 has been good to me!
2012 has brought us a series of new adventures. The funnest has been home ownership! We just love having our own house. When you own something, as opposed to renting, little things change. For example, when I had previously lived in apartments, I would step over litter on the sidewalk. Not anymore. Some hobo left a cheetos bag on the ground? I don't want garbage in front of my house! Quincy just LOVES the fenced in yard in the back! Andrew and I love it, too- especially on those chilly evenings when we just open the back door to let him out to do his business, and just wait for him to jump on the door to ask to come back in.
2012 has also brought the adventure of graduate school. I have a love/hate relationship with grad school. It is much harder than I expected, but I love what I'm learning. And my 4.0 GPA says that I'm pretty good at it (though with my 4.0, I have set the bar pretty high).

Has Spring sprung?
Quincy and I went for our first Rail Trail walk of the year. I was afraid there would be mud. There wasn't- because it was still under like 6 inches of snow! And tomorrow it's going to feel like the single digits with the wind chill. Bleak!
But, I do see signs that this long winter may be winding down. The days are getting longer. And we change the clocks in 10 days. And look what we saw in the woods today!! Rosebuds!!!

Er, um, at least they WILL be rosebuds. Come on- I need Spring to come. Let's call them rosebuds.

Family Reunion
We had a family reunion this past weekend. There were a lot of people and there was a lot of fun to be had. One of the many cherished moments was the surprise barber shop quartet for my grandfather's 91st birthday.

Oh, and it was also silly when Bre put on some beer goggles. :-)

Andrew and I had a wonderful time!
