We spent this weekend decorating our house for Christmas, most notably getting our Christmas Tree. It was so, so, so cold. There is a lot not too far from our house where they sell fresh trees. We looked at every tree until we found the perfect one. Wondering how to get it home, we decided to put the passenger seat down and the tree laid down in the passenger side of the car with Andrew driving and I rode in the back seat behind him. We brought the tree into the house and set it up in the stand.
The girls were so excited.
Andrew got the ornaments out of their storage box...
while I strung the lights on the tree.
A family tradition I had growing up was that you put the most special ornament on the tree first. We don't have just one special ornament- we have 2.
A girl robot...
and a boy robot
Aren't they cute?
Another difficult part of the decorating was my brilliant idea was to make a star with Christmas lights in every window. Believe me- that's much easier said than done. But after LITERALLY all day Sunday- we got it done.
And it looks beautiful!
This is the final project...
Whew! Exhausting but beautiful!
Edited to add:
And this is what the tree looks like in the day time (without the lights on)
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
